Is your Information Technology (IT) department driving your business change?  Have you wondered if there is a better way to put the business in control of what IT solutions are developed?  Does your service get short changed in IT funding decisions?  Do you have a governance structure in place that allows for your participation in planning short and long-term investments?  Have you wondered whether there is a better way to establish a more equitable, strategic and understandable approach for making decisions and prioritizing for a multiyear plan?    We are ready to share the journey we followed and lessons learned along the way in establishing a business IT Governance program based on the strategic objectives of the organization and driven by the business.  Come hear our experience in the Veterans Health Administration and find out how we used business architecture and requirements to make a high functioning process that puts the business in charge of their future investments.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Recognize transformational opportunities to achieve high functioning strategic decision making for IT investments
  2. Learn the structural components needed to transform your organization to include and value the voice of the business in driving IT investment decisions
  3. Understand how to proactively engage your organization and avoid pitfalls to achieving a successful governance program
