    Kristen Seer is a Senior Consultant with Business Rule Solutions, LLC. She has worked as a business analyst in industries such as retail, pharmaceuticals, insurance, finance, energy and government.

    Her practice focuses on helping clients introduce the business rules approach, including setting up centers of excellence, conducting training in the IPSpeak™ Business Rules Methodology, mentoring business analysts, facilitating sessions to capture business rules, harvesting rules from source documents, redesigning business processes, and analyzing decisions. 

    Her thirty-year career has encompassed roles as business analyst, rule analyst, data analyst, and project manager. Kristen is a regular speaker at the annual Building Business Capability conference (http://www.buildingbusinesscapability.com) and has written several articles published in the Business Rule Journal (http://www.brcommunity.com).


    ABOUT THE SPEAKER(s):

    Kathleen is the visionary leader of Business Analysis. She founded International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®) in 2003 and led it until 2013. In her care IIBA grew from a 37 member volunteer-run organization to a global association with 29 staff supporting over 26,000 members in 120 countries and over $5 million in revenue. With no physical office this presented unique management and leadership challenges. She is currently writing two books: one about how to create, run, and sustain a virtual organization, and one called Polite Politics: Applying Influence To Get What You Need Without Compromising Your Soul.

    Kathleen is a noted keynote speaker and instructor, invited to present at conferences around the world. She has worked with hundreds of companies throughout her career as a consultant and leader in the business analysis field. She has experience in the financial services industry, telecommunications, managing offshore software development, and product management.

    In March 2014 Julian Sammy and Kathleen Barret co-founded MicroMarketplace, to get on-demand expert advice to managers, one hour at a time.


    Kevin Brennan, CBAP, PMP, is the EVP Product Management & Development for IIBA®. He led the development of Version 2.0 of The Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK® Guide) and was also one of the authors of the CBAP exam. He is a frequent speaker on business analysis, project management, and software quality assurance topics at conferences. Kevin has over a decade of experience as a business analyst and project manager across several industry sectors, including regulated professions, utilities, automobile manufacturing, courier services, and mortgage banking. During this time he has performed just about every task a business analyst could be expected to do, from developing corporate and product strategies to being paged by end-users looking for technical support. Kevin has taught project management and requirements analysis at Humber College, and has a B.A. degree in History and Political Science from the University of Toronto. He is also a graduate of Second City's improv comedy program.


    Roger is a respected pioneer in the introduction of innovative approaches for Business Management. He is a world leader in the field of Business Process Management, having authored one of the most read and followed books on the topic early in BPM’s growth as well as the Business Process Manifesto. Roger’s leadership is also witnessed by his position as chair of several of the most influential conferences each year on BPM and Business Architecture and by his role as chair of the BPTrends.com Advisory Board. The insights he brings to PRG’s consulting clients are thoughtful and pragmatic.    


     


    Paul Harmon is a co-founder and executive editor at Business Process Trends – www.bptrends.com– an internationally popular website that provides a variety of free articles, columns, surveys, and book reviews each month on trends, directions and best practices in business process management.  

    Paul is the author of Business Process Change, and has just finished the third edition of this popular overview of business process management. 

    He is also a co-founder, chief methodologist, and a principal consultant of BPTrends Associates (BPTA) – www.bptrendsassociates.com-- a professional services company that provides executive education, training, and consulting services for organizations that are interested in understanding and implementing business process management.

    Paul involvement in business process change dates back to the late 60’s when he worked with Geary Rummler, at Praxis Corp., and was responsible for managing the overall development and delivery of the performance improvement projects undertaken by that company.  During the 70s and 80s he ran his own company, Harmon Associates,  and managed majorprocess improvement programs at Bank of America, Security Pacific, Wells Fargo, Prudential, and Citibank.

    Gladys S.W. Lam is a world-renowned authority on applied business rule and decision techniques. She is Principal and Co-Founder of Business Rule Solutions, LLC (www.BRSolutions.com), the most recognized company world-wide in business rules and decision analysis. Ms. Lam is co-creator of IPSpeakTM, the BRS methodology. She is Co-Founder of BRCommunity.com, a vertical community for professionals and home of Business Rules Journal. She co-authored Building Business Solutions: Business Analysis with Business Rules, with Ronald G. Ross, an IIBA® sponsored handbook on business analysis with business rules.

    Ron is recognized internationally as the "father of business rules." He is the author of ten professional books including the groundbreaking first book on business rules The Business Rule Book in 1994. His newest are:
