ABOUT THIS SESSION:
Relationships between business rules and other industry standards are becoming closer, in two ways:
Inclusion of business rules in broader standards; examples include electronic commerce (such as OASIS UBL), industry best practice guidance (such as MISMO), financial and compliance reporting (such as XBRL)
Roles of other standards as foundations for defining and expressing business rules; examples include ontology standards from W3C (OWL, RDF) and terminology standards from ISO (1087-1, 704, TBX)
Our panel of invited industry experts will discuss their perspectives on business rules, and suggest how these developments might continue.
