ABOUT THIS SESSION:
The UK Government education agency QCDA needed an application for verifying students’ programs of study in order to ensure the timely completion of diploma requirements. In order to handle this complex application, Entity Group designed and implemented a business rules engine which provided the agility required to handle large amounts of data.
Jason Edge, the Technical Architect responsible for implementing this component at the core of the solution architecture, gives in this real-world case study an overview on how the rules engine was selected, integrated, tested, releases, and how this successful implementation led to a re-use in another application.
You will learn:
How an integrated business rules development environment optimizes development and testing
How the rules engine facilitates multi-team independence and reduces project timescales
How using a Business Rules Management System increases reusability
Attend the session and see a demonstration of a full rule lifecycle – from rule change through deployment through final usage in the application.
