ABOUT THIS SESSION:

Fortegra Financial, a leader in insurance marketing, administration, technology development and distribution, needed to standardize and automate decision making in its Claims Adjudication system. With tight timeframes, there was no time to re-write the legacy AS/400 system. Fortegra implemented business rule technology in a .NET application integrated with its legacy system to reduce the cost and increase the efficiency of processing a claim. This session will describe how Fortegra met its goals without a legacy rewrite or pilot project and will include both the business and technical perspectives of the project.




ABOUT THE SPEAKER(s):

Mr. Blumenfeld is Director of Application Development for Fortegra Financial. He has over twenty-five years experience in advanced technologies, information systems management, and software development, helping companies in finance, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, and other industries. His extensive professional experience has included senior IT management, business systems development, product development, knowledge and process automation, and technology consulting. Prior to joining Fortegra Financial, Mr. Blumenfeld was Executive Practice Manager for Strategic Technologies where he started their Enterprise Integration practice. He was also formerly CTO for Advantiv, Inc., and has also previously held positions with GATX Logistics and Kraft-General Foods.
