The Value-Switch for Digitalization: Business Process Management
Presented by: Mathias Kirchmer
According to a recent study of The Gartner Group only 13% of business meet their yearly strategic goals. This means 87% of organizations prepare strategic plans and related goals – but they don’t achieve the targeted value. In addition less than 1% of companies have prepared their business processes to realize the potential of our digital world. Hence the risk of not executing successfully on a business strategy becomes even higher. This presentation will show how the discipline of business process management (BPM) addresses those issues and becomes the "Value Switch" for Digitalization.
The presentation discusses how to focus on what really matters, how to improve in an organization's specific context using the appropriate degree of digitalization, and how to sustain those improvements. This includes topics like rapid process improvement through agile methods and robotic process automation. The approach is illustrated through case studies of organizations of different sizes in different industries, including financials, health, and consumer goods.
The BPM-Discipline leverages the opportunities of the digital world systematically to deliver business value fast and at low risk. It becomes the value-switch for digital transformations.
- Understand how digitalization and the BPM complement each other.
- Learn how to focus, improve and sustain through a digital transformation.
- Learn how BPM becomes a value-driven Management Discipline.
