Over the past several years our company has invested in the development of the Business Analyst practice for all new development projects. These projects consist of IT as well as fundamental business needs which align with our companies roadmap and range from hundreds of thousands to tens of millions of dollars. The evolution of our Business Analysts team and their BA competency maturity has also seen tremendous growth. IIBA recommendations and functional tools have been the catalyst for much of this change. In our presentation we will share some of the success we have experienced in this journey and provide the participants with strategies and tools that can be replicated in their workplace. Several tools which will be highlighted include the utilization of the IIBA Competency Model in our practice, defining “Success Profiles” for each of our business analyst grades, creating a “Coaching Culture” with our managers and employees, implementing an internal social network tool to promote sharing and knowledge among our business analyst staff and other "hands-on" artifacts which will jump-start your team.

    Learning Objectives:

    • Improve BA manager performance and effectiveness
    • IIBA Competency Model insight and usability
    • Share “Coaching Culture” importance for BAs and Managers
    • Provide tools and techniques that can be replicated
    • Use of these tools improve the quality of work
    • Improve the overall performance of your BA teams
