ABOUT THIS SESSION:
Microsoft is on a multi-year journey to migrate product and pricing data from legacy systems into an agile, rules-based framework hosted on SAP. As we review our legacy data, we are finding strong rule patterns, and then patterns of patterns, which we are implementing in a layered hierarchical framework that provides our business the agility we require to meet changing business needs. We are also growing stronger business process, with rules stewardship. We are collecting metrics on improved agility, quality, and scalability to demonstrate business value for IT investments.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER(s):
Jerre McQuinn is a Principal Solution Manager with 10 years experience at Microsoft in IT. She is an expert in performing enterprise analysis, process and technical analyses, and the elicitation of business rules and requirements for internal applications that run the enterprise. She is a Six Sigma Green Belt, a past presenter at the Business Rules Forum, co-author of a paper on “Requirements Specification Using Fact-Oriented Modeling” presented at ORM-2008, and a Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP®).
Mike Lockhart joined Microsoft in 2006 as a SAP analyst. He is a program manager for a pricing modernization project and a product data management project. He has been deeply engaged in developing SAP solutions to implement product and pricing business rules. Prior to joining Microsoft, Mike was a technical consultant with Andersen Consulting beginning in 1993. Mike earned his MS in Electrical Engineering and is a certified Professional Project Manager (PMP).
